Soprano and Alto Saxophone / Sopranino / Clarinet / Flute

José Luís Rego studied at the Porto Music Conservatory, at Porto Jazz School and at Taller Musics de Barcelona, where he had the opportunity to attend several international seminars and where he worked with musicians such as Donald Harrison, Seamus Blake, Bennie Wallace among others. He is part of Quintet “Ar de Jazz”, of the Orchestra of the Porto Jazz School, of Pedro Abrunhosa’s “Máquina do Som”, of Orchestra “Tangencial” of Barcelona, and of several rock, jazz and blues groups. He plays with Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos since its foundation. Currently, alongside his activity as a musician, he lectures saxophone at the ESMAE jazz degree.
